We’ll meet in the Parking Lot at the entrance net to the food stand. Parking is free.
PLEASE CARPOOL to this event if you are driving.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
There are numerous city buses that go to Castle Island. Andrew Station (Red Line) is the closest T station, Blue Bikes will get you from Andrew to Carson Beach, but not all the way to Castle Island.
Join us for a late winter bird walk at Castle Island in Boston, MA .This location is always good for winter species and occasional rarities.

ACCESSIBILITY
√ Castle Island is regarded as accessible. The parking lot off has at least five designated accessible spaces that are van-accessible. There are also benches along the path.
The paths is also wheelchair accessible—paved, smooth, and at least 6 feet wide with a grade of 5% or less.
Please note it can be very windy at Castle Island. The wind can make it difficult to hear.Dress appropriately for prevailing weather conditions.
TERRAIN
This walk is easy—about 2 miles of paved surfaces.
FACILITIES
Public restrooms are also available on the island. From the parking lot, walk to the left of Fort Independence.
