The Boston Birding Festival is excited to join with Many Helping Hands 365, My Brother’s’ Keeper Cambridge and the Cambridge YWCA to offer a selection of bird walks in the Cambridge area designed for beginner birders—this is our third year organzing community birding experences.
This years walks include:
Fresh Pond
A walk around Fresh Pond. Tis is a paved 3 Mile flat walk that is largely wheelchair acessible. Limted to 10 birders. Dress for the weather and expect to spend 2 hours over 3 miles. Mostly flat with some modest inclines and some boardwalk areas.
Alewife Reservation
A 90 minute walk in Fresh Pond where will expire wetlands and waterfowl. Paved flat walkways and boardwalks. LImited to 20 Birders.
Magazine Beach
Spend 60 minutes Birding maazin Beach, Ideal for beginner and young birders just getting started. Packed dirt and paved paths with some inclines.
Halls Pond
Just over teh bridge in Brookline, liesa bewutiful birdy oasis. We’ll send 90 minutes seeingwhat we can see. This walk has rough footing and is not ideal for anyone with mobilit challemges.
