Earth Day Bird Walks

EaRTH DAY Bird WALKS FOR BEGINNERS

Join Us As we Look for Early Migrants in some of Cambridge's Green Spaces and learn about the challenges Urban Birds Face On their journey North

REGISTER STARTING MARCH 24

The total number of North American birds has declined by a third in the last fifty years. That’s 3 billion birds just gone! Cambridge, which is right along the bird migration superhighway for millions of birds can play a role in helping bird populations recover.

Join us for a series of beginner bird walks during Earth Day week. We’ll be birding Danehey Park, Alewife Reservation, and other locations TBD. We’ll look for resident birds plus early migrants just flying in—and we’ll talk a little about the unique challenges urban birds face, why birds are critical to urban ecology, and what you can do to help save birds.

We’ll also have some binoculars to lend on request. Children are welcome with a parent. Spaces for each walk are limited and you must register in advance. Free!

PLEASE NOTE: In the past, these walks have always booked up quickly. Be sure to sign up in advance and you’ll have a chance to secure a spot early.

SIgn up to be notified when Registration opens.
